What is the model for evaporation, condensation, precipitation etc. in FE? It seems as though (I haven't been able to find enough primary sources on this) the ancient Israelites believed that the firmament let in some water occasionally (obv The Great Flood, but also for rains)? Is this the accepted model for most of you on here? I'm not asking for what others believe but rather what FEers on CI believe and if evaporation etc is, in your estimation an accurate description of how rain works. I'm not looking for a "gotcha" here but rather am trying to understand what people think. If this model is true is the Earth's surface more permeable or do oceans lead to the "waters below"? Curious because I can think of a few ways this works but then I can't square that with clouds, water filters etc.
