Ah yes who could forget this "gem" of a film. Unlike others who have gone on and on about this terrible movie and saying how the first Jurassic Park was such a great film, I was not a fan of the first one either with all of the talks of evolution and science messing with nature. However one thing you could give the first one was that it had the "survival scenario" of all the people trapped in the park trying to make it out alive. In this one however it returns to the usual animal movie which is all about those "evil humans" trying to put some ancient creatures in an "awful zoo" (even though we do that with every species known to man)! For the record I too don't wish to harm the environment and have a soft spot for animals but honestly would you let an animal eat you?
And who could forget the "wonderful" actors in this film. Jeff Goldblum plays the uneventful "smart guy" Ian Malcolm from the first one who of course knows how everything is going to happen in this movie, just like in the first one (as if they didn't make Goldblum's character a genius on purpose ). Vince Vaughn plays the idiotic tree-hugger whose every action kills people. Julianne Moore plays the idiotic scientist who blabs on about science while there's a big dinosaur about to eat them. It's very sad that the black girl seems to have the most sense in this movie (that is until the idiotic end; as if they didn't do that on purpose either ).
Then you have the "bad guys" with the "evil hunter" which does such despicable acts as saving the idiots not once but twice and even pointing them out to the radio tower so they could call for help.
And I didn't even mention the most idiotic scene in this movie which incidently involves the black girl doing that gymnastics move which somehow kills the "smart raptor."
If one could give the original a 3/10 one could give this one a 0.5/10. It has horrible characters that you just wish would die, horrible acting, and the usual "evil humans" cliche' when it comes to these animal movies. This can count as another stupid movie that has created cash flow for Speilberg's pocket.
