Remember the Warren Commission? Compare the size (see next two posts to get the second and third entries) and number footnotes of the Wikipedia entry on this important historical investigatory body with the size and number of footnotes of the Wikipedia entry on the relatively unknown individual Kent Hovind. (The founder and big cheese of Wikipedia has an entry that reads like a secular canonization and yet has less footnotes than that "horrible villain" Kent Hovind!)
Hovind (unfortunately a Protestant, but in many ways a whole lot more Catholic than a lot of baptized ones) was a very entertaining, engaging, powerful and largely successful speaker and defender (often in public debates) of the Genesis account of creation. He made a complete mockery of evolution and those who push it -- especially those who push it in the public schools at taxpayer expense. He truthfully and with much docuмentation showed how the textbooks pushing evolution were full of blatant lies. He also stressed repeatedly that evolution was not science, but rather a false religion. As such he had to be totally humiliated and totally discredited. Wikipedia has certainly played its part in doing exactly that. The U.S. government went after him with a vengeance. The real story of what happened to Hovind is very different than the Wikipedia entry.
