I've heard fans of this movie say that it's a good movie because it tries to warn people as to a totalitarian government which controls the populace.  However, I don't believe it's a warning, but rather, a conditioning program to desensitize people into accepting the possibility of this scenario occurring.  I believe this is the same purpose as the novel 1984.  George Orwell was conditioning the masses instead of warning them.  I came to this conclusion after finding out that Orwell actually fought for the Communist side during the Spanish cινιℓ ωαr.....

  • I agree.  Last week one of my nieces was telling Grandma about how she and her friends were "playing Hunger Games".  She's in 6th grade in an upper middle class group.

'first the classes, then the masses."

I have never seen the movie and never heard of it, until  a "trad" father I know stated who sends his kids to Cathollic school proclaimed  , on Facebook that he was taking his older children to see it (older children maybe  12 and 13)
If we don't give up the  "spirit of the world", how can we persevere as Catholics in the tough times ahead?
Would have been better for that father had he prayed an extra family rosary (  second one only if he bothered to lead the first one with his family).
The spirit if the world is the spirit of Antichrist, and is all around us.  Children detect hypocrisy very quickly.
