  • Clarity and courage... yes... but it's missing a very important one... charity.

    If they acted out of malice it would be a different story, I not only think the Babylon Bee have some good articles and have done some great work, but I also think they were in no way malicious or ill-willed... It also upholds the Perpetual Virginity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the satire so I don't know why you think it denies that.

    I just think your original post lacked charity.

    While clarity and courage are essential, the higher virtue at stake here is faith, which they seem to be denying. It is charitable to inform fellow Catholics about these concerns and to refrain from supporting their work. Even a small amount of poison can spoil the entire cake.

    Yes... but nobody is infallible either... so if you take that analogy to it's nth degree, your isolated, alone and easy prey because you've got a drop of poison within yourself too, that's why we have recourse to the sacrament of confession throughout our lives, so we should be careful with how harshly we treat others IMO, especially when we know there was no malice involved.
