That's what's sad -- Inquisitor might have made a fine addition to the CathInfo membership, had he come off his high horse as "Grand Inquisitor" and casting a role for himself as "such a straight talker, I don't have time for Charity".
I am upset by the lies out there as much as he is, but I restrain myself from going BERSERK and bitterly, harshly criticizing everyone and everything. He needs to pick up a few Lives of the Saints to help temper his zeal -- the Saints knew that people were won over with sweetness, not bitterness.
And Charity can never be cast aside. Only the devils are not worthy of our love. If we meet a non-Catholic, a sinner, etc. we should be sad and earnestly desire his repentance/conversion. We should not beat him up, yell in his face, etc. because that will get us -- and him -- nowhere.
Only the devils are excluded from charity, the love of God. End of list. What about Ahmadinejad? What about George Bush? What about Obama? What about the chairman of Monsanto? What about Hugh Hefner? What about Bishop Brown of California? What about Kim Jong-Il?
I said: the devils in hell -- end of list. Those other men, as evil as they may be, COULD THEORETICALLY CONVERT and love God forever in heaven, so we are not permitted to hate them.
You can speak the plain truth, even when it will offend -- but it must always be done with charity.
