  • Notice what his excuse is? "So everyone can have a decent standard of living. Including a refrigerator and air conditioner."

To put it politely, FORGET the air conditioner AND the refrigerator if it means I can't follow God's law. Man survived without both for millenia, and he can do it again. Human beings don't melt above 70 degrees F. That's snickers bars you're thinking of. We sweat, but there are PLENTY of ways to design houses so the hot summer sun hits an overhang, tree, vine, etc. instead of hitting your house.

How many people still think about the fact that shade is much cooler than standing in the sun? I didn't used to, until I started going outside a lot.  Most people only go outside enough to go to the store (parking lots are seldom shaded) so they think it's hell to be outside.

People build houses stupidly these days, so A/C is almost necessary.

  • I think he should take himself and his five children and jump of a bridge first to facilitate his "population control." I mean, he's basically saying there are too many of us here and we need to reduce the population. Why not start with him?

    Just saying...

And this is coming from the same person (Ted Turner) who also said he WANTED to go to Hell because heaven would be boring and all of his friends would be in Hell also.

    Interesting...
    Matthew 5:37

But let your speech be yea, yea: no, no: and that which is over and above these, is of evil.

  • Welcome, p.f.t.  I imagine you are the one I have seen over at the PP forum.  God speed.

  • It's all about greed. I do not believe that Ted Turner cares for the well being of his fellow man. He must have stock in GE if he's plugging refrigerators and air conditioners.

It's the same perception shared by Gates and Buffet, less children equals more disposable income.
