What do you think about this principle?...

"The first rule for interpreting an author's texts is not to interpret them in such a way as to make him contradict himself." — Fr. Garrigou Lagrange, O.P, "Our Saviour and His Love for Us", p. 44, 1951

Maybe Mr. G would be happier over on the Suscipe Domine forum along with all the other princesses of delicate consciences.

Honestly sometimes the men here are more precious than the women.

If this is whats left of tradition, we are well and truly cooked.

The unfortunate thing is the reason why so many of us traditional Catholics are unable to understand one another and communicate properly, is in part because we all come from different backgrounds; race, sometimes previous religions, different types of education, both at home and in school, broken families, united families, lukewarm families, etc.

There used to be a gold standard of parenting, generally speaking, and the same for everyday communication. Everyone knew how to speak and act around superiors, equals, and inferiors. There used to be a standard of propriety in dress, deportment, speech, and so on.

It has been my observation that most people are so self-absorbed and entitled nowadays, so unaccustomed to suffering and self-denial, that they almost always assume anyone who disagrees with them, or even has the slight appearance of disagreeing, is there to personally punish or attack; to “kill” them, morally. Everyone is so attached to their own opinions, that whenever someone challenges it, that person HAS to be destroyed.

I almost guarantee that when these people were children, their parents gave in to their whining and wailing for some stupid toy at Walmart, and were the type to shut them up with soothers and candy. Excessive compassion + no discipline = adult children.

The remedy for all of this is what Our Lord has always proposed in the Gospels: to BEAR the cross, to be PATIENT with one another, to LOVE one another, and this includes being both willing to admonish and to be admonished. To not fear humiliation, but to welcome it as Our Lord did in His Passion. To grow in virtue and in the science of the saints. Everything begins from there. Things would be much improved if we all knew how to speak the language of divine love, and I am including myself in this as well. We need more holy conversations with one another, and with God. This is what the saints taught and recommended. No one but saints enter Heaven. We either do our purgatory here or in the actual purgatory.

Though I wouldnt feel too sorry if some SSPX buildings got burned down.
I called you the c-word, then I thought better and just kept it inside.
