    Quote
    1) The Taliban recognized the superiority of US firepower on Day 2 of the invasion
    2) they fought delaying actions as the government evacuated to Pakistan with assistance from the I.S.I.
    3) from 2002 to 2006, government forces built up their strength and prepared for the war of liberation
4)Spring of 2006: Afghan D-Day as Taliban doughboys return to liberate their homes for God, country, family.
    5) 2006 to present: the long slog north. brave Taliban face overwhelming odds and overcome their enemies.

Americans, how does it feel to know that in 5-8 years time there will be the Afghan version of Saving Private Ryan, Patton, A bridge too far, and The Longest Day? How does it feel to know there will be countless stories of brave, plucky country boys answering their nation’s call to vanquish a terrible, and evil foe that would have wiped out their way of life?

  • It has never been about democracy vs ƈσmmυɳιsm, or democracy vs religious fanaticism. I has always been about the ѕуηαgσgυє of Satan and its accomplices making money (by destroying weaponry and having to replace them, other countries having to have weapons to defend themselves  from the Boogey man that may do the same to them, destroying something you have that competes with them, stealing or controlling something you have.........)

  • First of all, I agree we should never have been over there to begin with. Yet.

If we ever committed the full force and weight of the American military, we wouldn't be having this conversation. however.

That was never going to happen and ((they)) know it.

But also,  don't ever estimate a people's resolve to resist occupation, especially when the occupiers were never really NOT WANTED to begin with.

Afghan's are a old and proud people, they have resisted Empires for centuries, they're very good at this. It is a graveyard for empires overplaying their hand trying to conquer a  tough people and coarse  land with really not a lot to gain, it is usually the invaders hubris which compels them to continue on a exercise in futility. America is just the latest empire to realize this, fold tent and go home and cut their losses.

But kudos to the Taliban for resisting the NWO and send them packing.

  • Ironically, our stupid, bumbling "president" in his dotage made the statement how american citizens with their small guns and armaments could never really be a threat or stand up to his gov't with overpowering military force and nukes.

Yet , these cavemen did just that.

    Don't ever forget this.

A few cheap technicals and people having nothing to lose is what freedom looks like in the 21st century.
