"Divine Mercy Ireland I have a request for those who can lobby prayer groups in Ireland to come together within next three weeks that we organise a prayer gathering in Knock Mayo to say Holy Rosary to combat abortion in Ireland .Ive asked leaders in Youth Defense and Human Life International two of the largest pro life organisations in Ireland to reassess what they do at the Youth Defense marches around Ireland and asked them directly right to top of each organisation for Holy Rosary to be said at these meetings .They have refused on numerous occasions to say Holy Rosary and any prayers at these pro life rallies (why i will never know it defies logic !!!)Because of this we in Knock now are going to organise a separate prayer vigil which will be centred completely on Holy Rosary and especially Rosary of the Unborn .This Prayer Vigil will go on a regular basis preferrably once a month on first Saturday; possibly until abortion has been removed from Ireland and Euthanasia from care homes and hospitals of Ireland .It will start off end of Jan 2013 and beginning of Feb2013 and will include Holy Rosary and long term we will i would hope be reciting Crusade Prayers also during these large scale prayer vigils .

The time for militant action and activism is drawing to a close for Youth Defense and Human Life International .In light of this as we in Holy Love Centre in Knock have always stated that Holy Rosary is only way to defeat abortion in Ireland it will be very fitting we will be spearheading this initiative now we are expecting thousands to turn out thats the only way now we will defeat abortion in Ireland through intercession of Our Blessed Mother Mary ,Mother of Salvation .we are calling now everyone in Ireland and UK and abroad to please support us in prayer and when prayer rally is organised i will let people know in coming days we will need thousands to turn up and unlike other pro life groups in Ireland we will not be looking for any money just a large body of like minded people who now feel like myself its time to stand up and pray to God Our Father through Holy Rosary to defeat abortion in Ireland ,UK and across the world .

I suggest it eventually will run approx 4pm outside of Holy Mass times in Knock ,Co. Mayo and in last days while the leaders in this country through ambition ,greed etc are hell bent on bringing in abortion into Ireland we will now be asking God Our Father through Holy Rosary and intercession of Our Holy Mother Mary to restore Ireland to the its rightful destiny as a Holy Nation .It will take miracle of conversion and Grace for this to occur with the apostasy we are suffering in Ireland .Now it will be up to each and everyone of us in Ireland to respoind to this call and do it for Our Lady Of Knock not for me or anyone else .The people in prayer in Ireland now need to come together achieve this miracle ultimately for God's Glory"

  • A comment on their Facebook page. Whilst I won't be heading to Rio with YD for the next World Youth Day, I would encourage people to attend this upcoming vigil (19th Jan) in Dublin.

Suggestions are welcomed to see where people are right or can do things better.

The day the abortuary opened in Belfast some were not happy with the rosary being recited.

I like to have prayer and action combined.  I have enough projects to keep me going but perhaps an Integrity and Action type group could be set up in Ireland.

  • I don't believe people should not turn up just because the rosary won't be recited.

Divine Mercy while you and your members are religious many people are not religious at all or even of the same religion so it wouldn't be fair on those of us who aren't religious to do a massive rosaries at these rallies. Between yourselves if you like of course but I for one, like many, am pro life but not religious.

What does pro-life mean exactly? Whilst I oppose abortion, contraception, ivf and all those evils, I do favour Capital punishment. Often people argue one is not 'pro-life' if they favour capital punishment.

To answer this comment though in the recent census in Ireland, the vast majority identified themselves as Catholic.

Many people are ok with Christ being King of them but the Social Kingship of Christ is going too far in their opinion. There should be no separation between Church and State.

  • Given the recent appearance of Niamh Ui Bhriain on the Mike Huckabee Show on Fox News it would indicate the people she is trying  to attract. E. Michael Jones once summarised neo-conservatism up in one word, 'Israel'.
