  • Signed. Guess I won't be going there for coffee anymore. Then again, I rarely did anyway. Too expensive. That, and I'm more of a Tim Hortons kind of guy.

You may as well use it; they already have your money.

Well, along with Home Depot, Starbucks is now on my enemy list.

  • Starbucks has supported gays for some time now, I think.

As for Home Depot, I may be mistaken, but didn't they withdraw their support of gays? Seems like I heard that somewhere.

  • The whole corporate world is on the side of the devil. It doesn't seem useful to boycott some and not the rest. It's gotten to the point where unless a business makes a declaration of opposition to x, y,and z then it's safe to assume it will buckle under pressure.

  • I'm not going to starbucks anymore.  I realized that the expense of going regularly was unjustifiable.  There also seem to be homosexuals that go there.

Of course they go there. They wouldn't be caught dead at the Dunkin Donuts.

I sort of agree with this. Show me one publicly traded company which doesn't support 'domestic partnerships' or gays. It doesn't exist. A good friend of mine wont shop at  Home Depot, and so I didn't for a while, though I resist the logic. I cant imagine Lowes is much better at anything. I like local hardware stores, but only because they're local mom and pop stores and I'd rather give my money to them; plus the service is  a million times better.

Every publicly traded company will have some kind of policy or official declaration on "celebrating diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace," and probably support groups (depending on company size) and affirmative action policies for homosexuals. I will also confidently state there isn't one single company of note in North America that doesn't contribute money to gay pride events.

  • But we should still draw distinctions, since most companies haven't gone as far as Starbucks has.

Actually, I don't think I've ever been inside of a Starbucks (Very few mind you) that didn't employ one.

And any other kind of freak that they can display out there.
