I can just see the next step:

"Left your smartphone at home? Want your money to always be within reach? Paypal has developed a new ID technology which can be printed on your skin (e.g. on your forehead or wrist).

    We call it the B.E.A.S.T.

    Banking
    Electronic
    Automatic
    Secure
    Trans-national

...So get your mark of the BEAST today and never again be without access to your bank account balance!"

  • Yeah!  Screw those old antiquated white men!  Screw history!

I suppose if PayPal has stock, it'd be wise to invest.

We conclude logically that religion can give an efficacious and truly realistic answer to the great modern problems only if it is a religion that is profoundly lived, not simply a superficial and cheap religion made up of some vocal prayers and some ceremonies...

  • Paypal has unsuccessfully tried to become a real bank several times.   For some reason Paypal can't get FDIC insured.  They used to say it was because Paypal wasn't a brick and mortar business.  Other completely online banks like Ally and Google Wallet have been able to get FDIC insured.  Maybe that is the real reason Paypal attacked old money?

What was that one company called? It was similar to Paypal but backed by a gold standard. The feds  went really hard after them. I don't think they're even in business anymore.

  • PayPal Credit pretty much dropped a credit line in my lap.  I never saw any user agreement or contract or approval notice.  I had to wonder how they can go about charging interest when there isn't any customer acknowledgement that interest will be charged.

When it first started it was called "Bill Me Later" then eventually that name was phased out and replaced with PayPal Credit.

They make it extremely easy to pay for stuff on eBay and other online services using PayPal;  it's just a one click operation, and everything is approved and your item is on the way.

  • Sweden and Denmark are mostly cashless now.  5 of the 6 banks in Sweden do not accept cash transactions and the Bank of Denmark will stop accepting cash sometime this year.

In 2014 Mastercard teamed up with the Nigerian government and issued a national Electronic ID program.  All people age 16 and up have an ID card with a chip that processes financial transactions.

South Africa distributes its Social Security payments via Mastercard transactions.

New enrollees in Social Security in the U.S have the option of Direct Deposit or through Mastercard Direct Express.  This began in 2013.

In the US there is no law requiring merchants to accept cash, and therefore some merchants are no longer accepting cash at all.  Only electronic payments with a card or with your phone apps.

It's not a far stretch to see how pretty soon we will all be required to have a card to purchase any items and not a far stretch to imagine that all this information can be stored on an implantable chip in one's forearm.

    Welcome to the new world....

  • It is getting scary now.

I'm trying to pinpoint when things began to speed up, and I would have to say at Obama's reelection (thank you novus ordo Catholics).  Francis' eco encyclical was another tightening of the vise.

  • Some are saying that the cashless society that is coming, people will have to have some way to buy or sell,(mark of the beast, Protestants claim).  However, I am trying to figure out why that would be a sin, although I don't like or approve of it, why is it a sin to exchange goods by this method, isn't that what most do anyway with credit cards.

I think the mark of the beast has always been with us, it is mortal sin, sinning with our mind (forehead) or actions, (hands), yet I do not know, just thinking about these things.

Does anyone here know about Catholic Eschatology?
    Please pray for my soul.

  • The elites want a record of what people are buying and purchases.  For
example stocking up on can foods goods incase of an emergency. If you
bought any Gold and Silver. And if you purchased any guns and ammo.
    Etc. Etc.
The elites can send their police and military to confiscate what they
consider as contraband because of executive orders signed by current
and previous Presidents when a national emergency is called.

Thank you for reminding me about that.  I vaguely now remember reading the Patriot Act made what Bill Clinton did even worse.
