Wikipedia is convenient for facts about uncontroversial things. If i wanted to know the molecular formula for Vitamin C, Wikipedia would not hide it (at least I hope not).

I didn't think the title of a band would be that controversial but I guess I make too many assumptions, lol.

Lybus remember that with symbols, especially symbols used by groups with dubious intentions, there are usually more than one way to explain them.  There is the explanation for the "profane" and the other explanation for those who are the "initiates."

Spiritus! Don't encourage him or he might chime in with his pathetic distractions and also derail the thread, somehow turning it to dope.

If you take a closer look at the "songs" of AC/DC and KISS etc. it's clear they worship Satan. Their "lyrics" often is pure satanic verses and belong to the Anti-Christ.
In at least one AC/DC song the singer tells frankly about how it's like when he's getting possessed by Satan. It's creepy.

What's even creepier is the fact that millions of people accept these "songs" as "culture" or even as their false God, while in reality Satan preaches to them. That's one of the rotten fruits of Apostasy.

    Heaven help us!

    Ugh. Beyond creepy.

ACDC have a song called Highway to Hell. I don't know the lyrics.

In 2004, a film, Thunderstruck, was released. Produced by Mel Gibson's Icon Productions, it was a fictional representation of four fans traveling to an AC/DC concert.

    Ugh.

  • I was already thinking somewhat about these types of behavior earlier today when I saw news footage of the empty headed fools rioting in the streets of London.

We can have no clearer example of where anarchy leads. Also, I understand that the Thorn of Glastonbury was vandalized this week.

This is an interesting article. Does Bishop Williamson have any articles on classical music? Would it be safe to assume that in contrast to rock/metal, it's effects are beneficial?

I'm a little troubled at some of the accusations of the article. For instance, the AC/DC thing. I'm not sure why he is saying that it stands for, "Anti-Christ/Death to Christ." As far as I know, it just stands for, "Alternating Curren/Electric Current." I don't think a band that calls itself the former will get very far.
This makes me wonder how credible the article is in its accusations. However, there is definitely a lot of truth in it, like concerts being able to start riots and such, and rock having its origins in African tribes.

Early Beatles are the greatest. As has been noted, there is a world of difference after 1965 when R & R morphs into 'Rock'  'music'. Strange how Bp(?) Williamson recognises an anti-pope whose v2 anti-church has actually endorsed the hippy Beatles beginning with the crappy self- indulgent Revolver-- 1966.
The article is therefore hypocritical. Beware of the Jansenist, Puritanical mindset that seeks to destroy all the beautiful things in this world

I would advise music fans to pick up the new 2009 Remasters of the early Beatles recordings. The sound quality is astonishing compared to what was avail b4.

This is not an endorsement of the Beatles lifestyle or philosophies. None of them ever received any instruction in Catholicism and as such cannot be expected to know anything about it.  :smoke-pot:

  • Not only were the Beatles deprived of a Catholic education, they were constantly subjected to an ANTI- Catholic brainwashing-- as have been those who recognise the v2- antipopes.

btw-- thanks for the new Ignore as I feel better now in this Jansenist nest.

Crock of baloney. You don't belong on this forum if you think Traditional Catholics should dare consider listening to Beatles music. And I find it interesting how you thought it was false that John Lennon ever said anything about Christianity dying out, yet the person who posted this artcle also posted that exact same quote from Lennon himself! And you are really questioning whether or not Bishop Williamson is an actual Bishop? You act as if you are the authority on religion.
Please ignore ALL of my posts. I was naive during my time posting on this forum and didn’t know any better. I retract and deeply regret any and all uncharitable or erroneous statements I ever made here.

  • KISS explanation is correct.

The Lennon/Christianity debate has been beaten to death and I cannot add anything new. If my post is read again it will be observed that i have not endorsed the philosophy or lifestyle of the Beatles. John has said that there was something wrong with himself. What the early Beatles created stands on  its own as the greatest musical phenomenon mankind has yet seen.

Re: Williamson-- i do not trust Anyone who cannot comprehend that John23- Ben 16 are in fact anti-popes. This is not GWS
