    Before President Reagan presented Master Sgt Benavidez the Medal of Honor, he reportedly turned to the press and said: “If the story of his heroism were a movie script, you would not believe it.”

    Thank you very, VERY much for posting this Miseremini.

    Being a Vietnam vet and having observed close up and at a distance so much of the insanity and evil which exist in our military-industrial complex and the insanity and evil of our long history of global meddling/interventions, I am not ordinarily one to give a thumbs up for U.S. military related things, but I have to say I would make a big exception when it comes to Master Sgt. Benavidez (R.I.P.).

    The video you posted really piqued my curiosity so I did a quick Internet search starting with the skeletal story of the good sergeant's life at Wikipedia.  See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roy_Benavidez  I was truly astounded to read what he had gone through BEFORE that day in hell in Vietnam -- how he grew up in dire poverty losing both his parents at a very early age and then suffering a catastrophic war injury in 1965 in Vietnam by stepping on a landmine.  The medical people thought he would never walk again, but he did the incredible -- by not only learning how to walk, but enabling himself to go back to Vietnam all over again in a special combat unit.

    If the official account of his actions on the day that he earned his Medal of Honor are even 50% true then I would have to say that I have never heard of any Medal of Honor account more amazing then his.  What an absolutely incredible and heroic individual!  The best part -- he apparently remained a faithful Catholic to the day he died.  A lot on the Intenet regarding this fellow.  Here is another video including a speech by the sergeant -- sounds like a very humble fellow, with even a nice taste of humor tossed in.

  • And the best part of all is that he apparently remained a devout Catholic until the day he died!

  • We in Canada had our heros too.
    Below is a video created 2 years ago, a re enactment of an event that touched the heart of this vet who spent many years speaking to school children  about preserving peace.  He's the man in the car, 93 year old Harry Watts a WWII dispatch rider.  He died in 2019 at 95.
    (That's my daughter and grandson}

  • Its sad that so many generous Americans are used to serve the Zog (Zionist) agenda -- basically to "die for Israel".

    Nevertheless, a lot of men (and unfortunately, women) sign up for the military with the best of intentions. The generosity and nobility of young men is taken advantage of. Also, their need for an affordable college education, which has become ludicrously expensive...

    So I harshly criticize the leaders, politicians and officials who get us into "endless wars" (that doesn't include Trump, by the way!) but I excuse the majority of servicemen (and *sigh* women as well) because they don't understand the details of how the world works. They are ignorant of the (((men))) controlling things behind the scenes, the Tribe, etc.

    So for all those who willed to serve our country, we should offer our prayers for them and their families. Especially those who were wounded or crippled. And we should pray for the souls of any who lost their lives doing what THEY THOUGHT was a noble act, serving their country.

    I guess I'm distinguishing between subjective and objective truth here. Subjectively, they were serving their country. That is a noble sentiment. What could you criticize about that? But objectively, the naked truth is that they were cannon fodder and useful idiots for the Zog machine, serving Israel's interests in the Middle East. You really have to acknowledge both of those things, or you will err in some way.
