I was reading about a recent Election 2016 poll, and at the end they talked about the racial makeup of the participants:

The survey audience was ... The respondents identified themselves as 73 percent white, 16 percent Hispanic, 8 percent African American, 4 percent Asian and 8 percent other ethnicities. Respondents were able to select more than one race.

Responses came from each of the 50 states, the District of Columbia and unspecified sites overseas.

So I was curious, "is this an accurate snapshot of America?" and the answer was: more or less, yes.

I mean, the blacks are all over the news, especially the past few weeks. And in countless recent videos making the news (protests, "Black Lives Matter", rioting in various cities, etc.) blacks make up 75 to 100% of the people on screen. So that 8% figure SEEMED a bit low.

I can remember when the US was over 90% White.

No you can't.  Since 1790, the United States has never been over 90% white.  High 80s yes, but never over 90.

 

The crime and violence
rates were much lower and many places non existent.
Thanks to liberalism, America is in the process of self destruction.

Depends what specific time period you are talking about.  Crime steadily increased from the 1960s to the early 1990s, and it has been coming down ever since, until this year when it has gone up again.  Right now we have about the same overall crime rate as the 1970s.  Lower than the 1980s and 1990s, but higher than the 1960s.

I do not believe that crime is coming down. Like the true unemployment rates
are falsified. So are the rising crime rates.
I do not trust what this government says. It protects criminals such as
Bill and Hillary Clinton.
Our Government is untruthful about ISIS when they are a proxy army
of highly paid mercenaries paid by the US, the coalition forces.

So, in other words, you reject the data that does exist, and you're just saying things that you believe, with no evidence to support it.  Got it.

The data put out by the government is false.  You are an example of a
brained wash liberal.  You are not worth of being thumb down.

The numbers may be off, but they may not be entirely fabricated. That would be all too easy to catch and label as erroneous. As with many lies, there is some truth to them.

One is not necessarily a brainwashed liberal because one believes the data on crime released by a government agency. Not all government data is false, nor are there strong indicators that the crime numbers are fabricated.
