Is it me, or does anyone else get annoyed with Protestants and New Ager's constant going on about "Christ's Love". Of course, Christ's love for us is infinite and we can not even begin to comprehend it. But how do you counter this very narrow minded understanding of God? I'm on a secular forum debating with some real toilette paper wads.
Here's some quites:
If Christ's love is not the controlling factor, then it's not righteous judgment. It's something else.
It's all too easy to tag on "in the name of Jesus", & feel justified.
But, if we're not letting that same love that moved in Him control us, then it's not His love controlling, & it very falls short... period.
This whole "let's save the world from the sinners" thing needs to be rethought, cuz fear becomes the controlling factor, not God's Love.
There's my $.02 for the day, FWIW.

"let's save the world from the sinners"
There is the fundamental flaw right there, a lot of Christians forget who does the saving.
They just can't let the potter do his work, they have to get their fingers in the clay.
Amen Papa C!
I refuse to live as a paranoid Christian. That whole fear thing insults the sovereignty of God.
His love is huge...that's what I know to be true.
