  • This is so sad.

One wonders if this is a fake attack on a conservative priest, Rev. Eduard Perrone, who celebrates the Latin Mass and who condemns ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖity, etc.

  • There are some excellent and truly Catholic diocesan priests with a devotion to the Mass of All Time. The problem is, in Fr. Perrone's case, is that their superiors are garbage. Hopefully, more of these priests will jump ship to the SSPX or the Resistance or any other extra-diocesan group.

  • People I knew from that area said many years ago that the diocese wanted to close and consolidate his church, and they were only keeping it open until he retires. The diocese might have used this as an opportunity.

When there is no one left alive to fill the pews of the NO because the Baby Boomers are dead, they'll regret that decision.

  • I say let us wait and see. On the one hand this type of abuse can be found anywhere. On the other hand, initially this looks like this could be a false allegation.

  • These allegations are almost verbatim identical (right down to the wine drinking) to those made against Father James Viall in the Cleveland diocese.  Father Viall in Cleveland also offered the Tridentine Mass and preached very conservatively regarding both moral and doctrinal questions.  He was despised by the ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖ activists, and then suddenly a "former altar boy" popped claiming the same kinds of groping activities as described here, and then followed the allegation that he gave children wine.
