    • I'm not sure if this is an "April Fool's Day" joke (and if it is, it is rather sick) but I came across this online:

    Apparently the PRC is planning to abolish the oldest continuous writing system on this earth and replace it with the Pinyin romanizations. I heard that this has been on the Communist agenda since day 1.

    Yet another evidence of the destructive nature of Communism.

    • I guess the joke's on me. That page is obviously an April Fool's Day hoax.

    Of course that doesn't outrule the possiblity....

    Thank goodness it isn't true though (at least not yet).
