Political Views That Are Compatible With Catholicism?

    • I've often wondered in our day and age which political views may be compatible with the Church.

    At heart I am a monarchist and an integralist, but I am also a realist and I realize that no Catholic monarchy will be coming any time soon. At the rate of apostasy and infidelity, Europe is more like to revert to Classical Paganism than to Catholicism at this point in time.

    Modern democracies and liberal like politics seem to be incompatible with Catholicism and most conservative ideologies seem to follow as well.

    I have always been curious if it would be possible to tame the extremes of certain political views as to make them fit in with Church teaching.

    National Socialism, for example, seems to have its benefits, but certain of its ideas are obviously problematic.

    What are your thoughts?

    • The Catholic wont tell you who to vote for. However there are certain principles that we all should agree upon. The first is the right to life from the moment of conception to the moment of natural death. The second is the respect that must be shown to all people in recognition of their dignity which comes from God.

    • the only view that is compatible with Catholicism and has a chance of winning any election is America first paleoconservatism. Pat Buchanan style. anything more extreme has no shot of getting voting in and anything short of it isn't Catholic.
