I appreciate your having read Golitsyn. I disagree that they have switched places. Rather, the Communist International remains International, not uniquely American.
US is decidedly more Communist than Russia is AT THIS TIME, and more corrupt ... not to mention the extreme moral decaly of the US. Whether Russia reverts at some point is a different question.
This is definitely not true. We may feel the corruption of the US more distinctly, but Westerners do not have an understanding of the depths of the corruption in Russia. Russia is still an oligarchy. If you look at the stats on immorality, Russia is near the top when compared to America and European powers. It would be great if we could start a topic to discuss the differences, if you have proof to the contrary.
Catholic prophecy strongly suggests that at some point Russia will convert and become the instrument for the Triumph of Our Lady and the Church, and the fact that Russia has more and more championed respect for at least the natural order (vs. the trends contra naturam of the West) is preparing them for this conversion.
Let's look into the stats. Where does Russia stand on abortion (2018)?
United States: 11.3 per 1000 women
Russia: 53.7 per 1,000 women
If you dig into it, it just gets worse. Church attendance is still higher in the US. Immorality and licentiousness are still lower in the US. Comparatively speaking, Russians are self-hating, alcoholics, promiscuous, drug addicts and extremely superstitious. If they are preparing to convert we haven't seen that reflected in official stats.
