A close second place was "so I can virtue signal" -- because that's EXACTLY what all this mask wearing is about: How much you care.
For those unaware, a Karen is a recent slang -- and derogatory -- term for a middle aged, middle class white woman. Usually short-haired, opinionated, etc.
She is likely a helicopter mom if she has young children. She lives in a subdivision and drives an SUV.
The facemask adoption rate for Karens is probably over 95% right now. They love to virtue signal.
There was a debate whether or not calling a woman "Karen" was like calling a black person a "n*****". Regardless of the outcome of this debate, suffice to say it's not a term of endearment!
I'm just glad I didn't name any of my girls "Karen".
