This pious “Priestly Society of the Holy Cross”, known as “ Opus Dei”, is composed of 2-3% clergy, while it has recruited 98% of laity from every background: military personnel, industrialists, business people, politicians, magistrates, and high-ranking officials of the State... of the State... Opus Dei was founded in 1928 by the crypto-jew José Maria Escriva de Balaguer. Based on one of his small books, titled “Camino”, it teaches that the members of the Work should focus more on their daily concrete work than on prayer. Therefore, Opus Dei is an authoritarian, technocratic organization, shrouded in secrecy. Its program is to select the “world elite” capable of forming a new “ power”. For this reason, the ideologue of Opus Dei, Raphael Calvo Serer, defined Opus Dei as “a potential force” like none the Church has had since the Council of Trent. Indeed, Opus Dei currently has eighty thousand members from about ninety countries, of which 13,000, called "numeraries," are bound by celibacy. Furthermore, Opus Dei has around 50 Universities and Colleges; it operates over 50 radio-television stations; it has about 15 film companies; it runs 40 news agencies; it publishes around 70 various types of newspapers; it has a bank in Geneva, a currency exchange office in Zurich, controls dozens of banking and financial institutions; it operates construction businesses... Hence, a tremendous force that can exert immeasurable influence. Opus Dei seeks power; it even prescribes this in its Statute as a peculiar means of apostolate. Therefore, secrecy is an organism of occult power, demanding total silence from its affiliates.
