And you wonder why I was hoping Cruz would win the nomination and the Presidency.

That, and because the Homeschool coalition was rooting for Cruz. Apparently Cruz scored the highest (of all Republican nominees) on issues important to Homeschooling families.

I have 5 daughters, so this concerns me very much.

If they're going to do this, then we don't need a draft. A country like the US that has never been in any danger has no need for a draft.

Counterfeit Israel already drafts women over 18, who must serve 2 years. Males must serve 2¾ years. cf. Conscription in [Counterfeit] Israel

It looks like the U.S. is following Counterfeit Israel's lead (again), just as it has regarding the sodomy movement (cf. Biden's Will & Grace remarks or Hillary's 2016 AIPAC speech).
