    Got to wonder what they are planning to do, then, about abortifacient "contraception".

    The only thing I can think of, is that it can never be proven that the use of abortifacient contraception has ever caused an abortion in any one particular instance, and that is the kind of thing you would have to prove.  You can't charge someone with a crime, if it can't be proven that the crime was ever committed in the first place.

    This is going to be interesting.

    • Ohio already passed a heartbeat bill a few years ago banning abortion after a heartbeat can be detected and the governor signed it into law.  But it was struck down by courts.

    I think they’re just rewording it to use the same approach that Texas used.  Yet it goes even farther ... from the moment of fertilization, i.e. conception.

    It already had 33 sponsors out of 99 legislators, so I think it has a good chance of passing.

    Just remains to be seen what the courts will do to it.
