Called this one a long time ago. Many of these people are just hippies under another name. It's so clear that this is all shaping up to be like those end-of-the-world movies where people just give in to their basest instincts in public. Except this isn't the end of the world, just the countdown to the Minor Chastisement.

I'm afraid I know the type all too well. They consider themselves political visionaries and firebrands who are against anything that is vaguely "right wing," listen to lots of tribal multicultural music, and are promiscuous.

This is like the Love Parade in Berlin with a political excuse, which is vaguely "against the rich." Not that I'm a big fan of traders and their shady maneuvers, but the stock market has been in place for a while now. Right before it all collapses, that is when they decide to protest? No, the logic is more like, "We have no future, let's just have sex and smoke pot."

There are some incredible YouTube videos of all this if you type in "Hippies" and "Occupy Wall Street" but alas lots of nudity, so you have to be careful.

Anyone who tries to make it look like this whole thing isn't hippie, or that "the man" is trying to discredit them by painting them as fornicating losers, uh, there is video after video of women taking their tops off, and I'm sure much worse than that is going on. It's like Woodstock or Glastonbury spilled out into the real world.

It is just so ridiculous. The cops are hauling someone off and then the camera pans to the left and some guy is playing a toy trumpet... I'm exaggerating but that is really what it is. Just the things they say, their anti-establishment slogans, are utter hilarity. Comedy gold. Yet these people are serious.
