The REAL ID Act
This bill requires all U.S. citizens to carry a federal I.D. card to, as stated by CNET.com, “travel on an airplane, open a bank account, collect Social Security payments, or take advantage of nearly any government service.” Americans will hear some variant of “Your papers, please.” Will we accept it as necessary for our protection?
This is something I've never understood. Yes, it sounds ominous, but I don't understand why it's such a bad thing if I have to show ID to do those things. I have to already and maybe the extra organization will succeed in denying the services to those not entitled. I could be way off here, but if so could you explain why?
I agree with you. I don't see the problem with the national ID. I also don't see the problem with many of the things Matt posted. I can only assume Matt is a libertarian, although that is not compatible with catholicism now, or ever. I agree with Matt on the implants as a biometric, I draw the line on that. I also don't care if illegals are rounded up and sent home to Mexico or central america. If they must put them in camps to do it, so be it. They broke the law. why don't they work to make mexico a better nation? the only justification i can see for illegals is that they will do work that americans will not do, like stoop labor, working in slaughter houses and chicken plants, and the like.
