If a friend of mine became, say a Jєω, tomorrow, I would not stop being his friend. For example, I have a neighbor that is a "Buddhist", vegan, global warming, pro-abortion, redneck. I am on the best terms with him. We have a lot of other things in common and that is the basis of our friendship. I am an example to him by how I live and how my children look, act and live. He tells me about global warming and all I say is "I don't believe any of that". No debates, I simply dismiss it altogether. The same with corona virus.
If one truly believes what they say, there is no debating the blind, what they say is totally dismissed, then you go on to discuss whatever you have in common (work, recreations, house repairs). If you fight with a friend over disagreements, it is because you never were friends in the first place, or you do not really believe what you say.
