  • New York’s Division of Homeland Security is posting signs on businesses to encourage people to snitch on fellow citizens who buy such things as MRE’s (Meals Ready to Eat), ammunition, flash lights, match containers, gas masks and other items deemed to be ‘prepper’ in nature.

In this video a girl working at LZ Army Navy Surplus store in Auburn, NY tell us how a state trooper put up a flyer in their window which encourages customers to call the New York State Terrorism Tips Line to report this ‘suspicious activity’ under the as part of the “See Something, Say Something” campaign.

This is obviously nothing more than the beginning of the cultivation of ‘average citizen snitches’ who will rat out on their fellow citizens.

Despot governments have always needed snitches to help control the population.

So, report me!  I just bought a number of flashlights for camping.  Perhaps camping is a suspicious activity?

  • If the government has countless piles of $500 to pay "snitches" to report that I bought an extra 12-pack of green beans at Sam's Club or a pair of binoculars at the Army Navy Surplus store, then the government has too much money.

Why don't they just shut down the place, if buying army surplus equipment is only for terrorists?

What a waste! You're not going to catch A SINGLE TERRORIST with such a stupid program.

Of course, those with a brain know that the so-called War on Terrorism is completely bogus. It's a war on the American people, full stop.

Just another example of 1984/Big Brother/sci-fi dystopia nαzι dictatorship crap being foisted on the American people, while the REAL terrorists would just sneak across the southern border and be home free.

Did you know that hundreds of miles of the southern border is some kind of national forest? I forget what exactly it's called, but it's basically wide open, except for the native brush. A perfect spot for gang members, terrorists, etc. to enter the country.

Sad but true commentary.  But no one believes it until it is too late.  And what can those who are aware do to prevent it?
"I receive Thee, redeeming Prince of my soul. Out of love for Thee have I studied, watched through many nights, and exerted myself: Thee did I preach and teach. I have never said aught against Thee. Nor do I persist stubbornly in my views. If I have ever expressed myself erroneously on this Sacrament, I submit to the judgement of the Holy Roman Church, in obedience of which I now part from this world." • I'm curious as to what the police intend to do with the snitch information.  Even under New York law, it's not illegal to buy any of the items mentioned, nor is it illegal to store/hoard them.  What crimes are they investigating?

    Well, isn't that a relief.

    But not for long.

It's a fact that countless innocuous activities are considered "suspicious" by the US Government today:

    homeschooling
    using cash
possession of a copy of the constitution, or quoting it
    possession of firearms
    storing extra food
    thinking a collapse might happen
    etc.

So I wish there was no basis for this story, but unfortunately I must say that there is quite a basis, even if the cherry on top turned out to be fake.

P.S. I think they put out stuff like this periodically just to ___ with us. They want to make us look bad, even though we're only anticipating them by about ONE MOVE.

Say a man named Rob was pilfering all kinds of money from you on a daily basis -- a dollar here, a few dollars there -- and you finally catch on to it. Then one day Rob plays a prank on you, that he stole your life savings. You are obviously inclined to believe it, since Rob has stolen quite a sum from you by this point. But, as a matter of fact, the whole "life savings have been stolen" ploy was indeed a prank. So Rob has a good laugh at your expense as he reveals the truth to you.

But seriously -- is there any reason to make fun of the victim in this situation? Not really. Rob is indeed a thief, and he might eventually steal your life savings -- just not today.

This is the most illogical I've ever seen you be. You are going WAY to far down the rabbit hole of slippery slopes my man.

    Get it together.

You know what your problem is- you don't check anything before you post it; you're too willing to believe cօռspιʀαcιҽs simply on the basis that they are conspiracy. There are cօռspιʀαcιҽs that have truth to them, but they are well proven (i.e. 9/11). Its foolish, how you act, and you should be embarrassed and ashamed of acting in such a way. This is not the first time someone has pointed this error out to you. Instead of admitting your fault, which would be a little embarrassing, you now take on the actions of a lunatic.

"Well, 'may not be true.... fur now! But 'could be... could be, Johnny-boy... now dat der is downright scurry."

^^ That is how you look. Put an end to this ridiculousness, Matt. Your actions are only getting worse. Spend your energy elsewhere. You have lost ALL credibility with me, outside of matters of the Faith.

  • The gov gives out cases of MRE meals after a disaster. If food storage put you on a watch list then every Mormon serious about following their faith would be considered suspicious.

  • The video might be misrepresenting things, but this story isn't 100% inaccurate.

What part of this headline is incorrect?
NY HOMELAND SECURITY ENCOURAGES BUSINESSES TO SNITCH ON PREPPERS AS TERRORISTS

"...the letter, sent from the state’s Office of Counter Terrorism, which asks the store owners to look out for suspicious individuals purchasing large quantities of gas masks, meals ready to eat (MREs), flashlights and so forth."

Does this really make sense? What part of that list screams "terrorist"?

You are solely responsible for making yourself look bad.
And yes, they do put out stuff like that to f with you.   And their immensely successful because you keep going back for more.

    Why they do this?

Well in this case, it's a Prisonplanet faux-controversy, thus their interest is ginning up their base and please their sponsors.... Suppliers of stuff preppers buy.

You're being played like a fiddle.
