  • Gladius Veritatis and Anty both wrote to me about this back to back this morning.  Check it out.  Top headline: Pope accepts invitation from pimp state.

  • I just received an e-mail from someone called John Browne on this. I must take time to check it out.

  • I wonder if the individual responsible for this web site is the same person who posted under the name Maurice Pinay at FE and was banned in the spring of last year.

I always liked his/her posts.  Having browsed the site I would judge from the content and writing style that Maurice has resurfaced on the net.  Into the bookmarks goes another link.

Why was Maurice Pinay banned from FE?

  • I won't plan on bookmarking that site any time soon. I have never cared for his one track mind in regards to the Jєωs and the crisis. It's not a site or person I want to be associated with in any way.

  • I suppose he was banned for saying things Vox didn't agree with, Magdalene.  That's usually the reason, anyway.

I'm curious about your stance, John.  Do you have a rationale or is this just a knee jerk?

If the person that runs the blog is the same that went by that name on FE, then actually he was banned for a very good reason. He insulted one of the posters in a very demeaning way. His behavior was uncalled for. I agreed with the action that was taken against him.

    ??

Again, if this is the same person that posted on FE, and it looks probable from what I see on the blog, then I stand by what I said. Not EVERYTHING can be tied or traced to the Jєωs in some way, which is what I saw with the majority of his posts. There was scarcely any comment on any other subject by the person which I take to be a one track mind. I'm sorry, but that is not Catholic, and I want NOTHING to do with it. We have to live a balanced Catholic life of virtue, which always posting in a negative manner about the current crisis or harping on the Jєωs as the origin of all ills in this world is far from.

  • And Vox agreed with Maurice in many ways. Just she didn't agree with how he attacked other posters in the forums. It has nothing to do with what news and other things he posted.

  • I wasn't privy to Pinay's attacks on others, but I know Big Mike attacked people and he wasn't thrown off.  Rudeness and ad hominum and ridicule seemed to very well tolerated there.  Pinay must have left a blood bath.

That's probably exactly what happened.  Not that it gives anyone the right to shoot off back.  However, and John, I wish you'd take note of this, the FE Forum Clique will say quickly and repeatedly viscious things (because they CAN, as they are the Moderators, and they care little about tempting God by their bitter attacks on fellow Catholics), in an attempt to provoke their opponent to say something that is in kind and sinful (i.e., similarly viscious).  It makes them all the more angry when someone doesn't give in and they don't have an excuse to Vox to kick them off.  That is why they quickly result to personal attacks when someone calls them on their behavior.  They're trying to come up with an excuse to get rid of them, AND they love to bully.

This isn't what happened in this case at all. You know nothing about it, you were not there at the time, and you are working from pure speculation. Put a sock in it.  :baby:

  • Well, to see what one man posts on one site, and conclude that he only thinks about that one thing would be akin to presumption.  I was booted, too, although I did not insult anyone, nor commit any serious infractions.  Vox, for whom I have great respect, simply decided that the direction she wanted to take the site did not involve men like myself, however 'amiable'.  God speed to all, including my old friend Vox.
