The choice of title for this thread is unbecoming a Catholic. Why bother delving into error and evil when the wrong spirit is driving? If someone referred to me as a pompous ass, I'd hardly want to convert to his religion. Also be aware that young people read CI. Is name-calling and insult a good example? Or maybe you ARE in your teens or early 20s? If so, loose the attitude! Pray for charity first, then you'll find you don't need to immerse your mind in evil. If a dog poops on the kitchen floor, you don't study the pile to change his behavior. You clean it up at once and train him to go outside away from the house.
First there is no attitude you're perception is off. To be frank I'm sick and tired of his attacks on The Holy Roman Catholic Church. The Bride Of Christ. In the name of charity. I have turned the cheek for 22 charitable years. God knows my heart. I have invited this pagan into my home time and again, only to have him continue to mock our Catholic shrines, and refer to us as a cult!! In the name of charity! Perhaps its time for him to pick up a dictionary. In the name of charity! I/We have suffered in silence, and prayed for 22 years. In the name of charity! I will no longer tolerate his sacrilege of blessed sacramentals, in front of my children in my home. In the name of charity! I will have no one undermine my authority, or Catholic Faith in my own home, or in public when I have my kid's with me. In the name of charity! I will no longer tolerate his slurs against Our Lord, and Blessed Mother. In the name of righteous charity! I will not tolerate his lack of charity towards my wife, and have her berated for becoming a Roman Catholic cult member. In the name of charity! Nor will I tolerate his cheap shots, and ridicule because we homeschool. In the name of charity!
The spirit WAS, and IS CHARITY. Instructing the ignorant is a corporal work of mercy! I have pacified this pagan the same way some of The Faithful have, since the 1960's, and the destruction is immense. In the name of charity! The confirmation character gives me the power, and the right to perform actions that are necessary in the spiritual battle against the enemies of the faith. I am part of The Church Militant, my conscience is well formed, and when I commit a sin I have access to the Sacrament of Penance.
I have trained K9's on an elite level for twenty years. The analogy falls short because I have never had a dog poop on the floor. A dog that does poop on the floor is human error and I need to change owner behavior.
