Oh, yes, an important (very important) note:

I have given you some books which detail the pernicious influence of the Masonic sect across Europe, all written by staunch Catholics. Mgr. Dillon's book comments on the Permanent Instruction so I thought I would let you have. I notice, however, you say you already have some knowledge of what the Masonic sect is and why Holy Mother Church condemns it. I suppose you might have read some of the books I gave you. A layman like you or I emphatically needs to know no more than that and to keep a weather eye out for the plots of Masonry.

Good grief, do not go looking up anything actually Masonic - their foul ceremonies or pass-words or devilry. Any interest in 'the occult' is extremely dangerous. Stick to books written by Catholic authors if you must go any deeper than Dillon and Pinay (I can't see why) as any unhealthy interest in this sort of thing must be squashed at once. I never have and never will - I imagine madness or worse lies that way.

    Patrick,

What I have been exposed to is encyclical's and some youtube video's by John Salza. I don't know if he is a decent source but I will heed your advice, and wait for you're reply.

A sermon that was just posted on AudioSancto has some good references to Fɾҽҽmαsσɳɾყ, the founding of the US, and the Masonic/naturalist attitudes of some US Presidents

    http://www.audiosancto.org/sermon/20130707-The-Goddess-Liberty-versus-Christ-the-King.html

It's worth the time (16 min) because it makes connections between the forces of organized naturalism and the things we see in the US.

The "liberty goddess" and glorification of democratic self-rule that frequently shows up in post-revolutionary France and the US   is very much an outgrowth from the forces of organized Naturalusm and Fɾҽҽmαsσɳɾყ (aka the dethonment of Christ The King). I'm currently reading Liberty, The god That Failed by Christopher Ferrara and Patrick Brennan. So far it's a very good read. It kills many false myths such as the semi-deification and misrepresentation of the authors of the US Constitution as Christians, most were deists at best.

Some of the reviews at Amazon are informative: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1621380068/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=1621380068&linkCode=as2&tag=httpwwwchanco-20

One of the reviews "Liberty The God That Failed is mine:) Required reading by my sons. In fact I have three copies, and was considering teaching a course to some of our homeschool kids. If you liked that book you may like "Puritan's Empire" by Charles Coulombe. An interesting side note, this book was also published under the title "Puritan's Progress a Catholic Perspective," but by different author's? It's the exact same book word for word.

This is written for a high school level but still a great read.

Here are a few books on the Masonic fraternity - I had better start off with, in my mind, the best two:

The War of Anti-Christ against the Church and Christian Civilisation

“Lying is their rule, Satan is their God, and shameful deeds their sacrifice.”  Pius VIII, Traditae Humilitati Nostrae, 1829.

An excellent book. This is the reprint by the Britons Press with a foreword by Fr. Denis Fahey C.S.S.Sp.

    The Plot Against the Church

    M. Maurice Pinay's famous work on Jєωry, Communism and Fɾҽҽmαsσɳɾყ. It's not complete, only going up to forty-two chapters of of forty-five, but it is fully OCRed and so quite useful by that merit alone.

I cannot vouch for the translation of the following encyclicals:
    In Eminenti
    Humanum Genus

I shall prepare some more - e.g. The Permanent Instruction of the Alta Vendita - if no-one gets there first.

Sorry for the ignorance. What does the acronym "OCRed" mean?

Optical Character Recognition - it means you can manipulate it, quote it, copy bits of it etc via a computer. It's not merely a scan, but 'computer text'. I didn't know either until I heard it mentioned a week or so ago by Mithrandylan, I think.

I don't know Mr. Salza, but you can't go wrong with encyclicals, M. Pinay, Mgr. Dillon - good work by a truly Catholic author. I thought you were thinking of reading up books by Masonic authors. Avoid them like the plague.

The Papal encylicals on Fɾҽҽmαsσɳɾყ are wonderful. Read them all and read them well. Pope Leo himself wanted Mgr. Dillon's lectures which were, I think, first given in public, to be disseminated. The Britons Press did a great service in reprinting that work, as did Catholic voice, so the evil of the Masonic sect and its methods are exposed to all.

We clearly misunderstood each other. Good Catholic books, you won't go far wrong.
