I think there are exceptions to what Ali says here, especially if the interracial marriage is between two (traditional) Catholics and the multi ethnic society is truly (traditional) Catholic, otherwise, he is spot on and correct. Some of you may be surprised that he held these beliefs:

I know not if any Catholic confessional state has ever banned racially mixed marriages.  At the same time, my understanding is that it would actually be well within such a state's prerogative to do so.  In saying this I am not implying that such a state would necessarily be making a correct judgment call under any given set of facts if it were to impose an anti-miscegenation law, only that as far as I know it would have the God given authority to do such.  If I am wrong in this matter, I hope someone can show me where and how.

What I have said here relates I think to the proper Catholic hierarchy of things in the social order where country or nation actually goes before family.  The ranking would be: 1) Religion 2) Nation 3) Family.  That ranking reflects the reality, for example, of the government (assuming it is a rightfully lawful government) of a nation to rightfully trump the family in its authority to pull a man from his family to go fight in a just war.

Seen it and loved it.

Red Birds with the Red Birds. Blue Birds with the Blue Birds.

Makes sense.

In heaven, the hierarchy will not be as on Earth, the rich and famous will likely not even be there, and the poor humble Catholic Mestizo may be up in a higher order. In Heaven it is all about the true Faith, Catholicism lived.

For a Catholic, the foremost priority in marriage is finding another Catholic, and by Catholic I mean a person that lives Catholicism. There are scarcely any of these persons in the world today. If that rare person is of another income class, nationality, race, I would snatch her up before someone else does.

For every taste, God invented a color. To each his own. In the world (outside of the true Faith lived), you can't regulate, outlaw, who a person can and can't be attracted to, it is like trying to stop an earthquake by putting duct tape on the crack. You can't fight nature.

It is the role of the parents to judge whether a man is Catholic and will provide for their daughter.  It's very modernist to declare yourself a good man and  not take in account the parents.   Marriage used to require parental consent.
