Someone wrote up a good piece about the Moon Missions 50 years ago --
I’ve always had grave doubts about the claims made by the US government that we put men on the moon. The Apollo 11 project was supposed to have landed three astronauts on its surface in 1969. Thereafter, several more Apollo flights were launched, in which, it is alleged, other American astronauts successfully visited the moon’s surface or got pretty darned close to it anyway.
Recently, a current NASA astronaut came forward reaffirming once again that these moon expeditions really, actually occurred. His name is Donald Roy Pettit. Mr. Pettit himself never went to the moon. He was only 14 years old when the first Apollo flight set off. However the man did spend long months on the International Space Station in both 2002 and 20ll. So he ought to know something.
Pettit is well educated, with several degrees, including a doctorate from the University of Arizona in astrophysics or some such thing. What is more, the man is an Eagle Scout, which speaks volumes for his probity and personal integrity, I guess.
Astronaut Pettit was interviewed recently about the Apollo moon landing project. He would love to go to the moon himself one day. But sadly, he says, we no longer have the ability. The technology was “destroyed,” and it would be a “painful process” to build it back up again. Really? All those billions of taxpayer dollars spent on a program whose technology has since been totally scrapped!? Incredible!
Dr. Pettit did not go into detail about the apparent loss of NASA’s ability to send future astronauts to the moon We just know that sometime around the end of the Apollo program in 1972, the technology, according to Pettit, was abandoned, and is, apparently, irrecoverable.
Should the reader doubt that Mr. Pettit’s remarks are correctly represented, let him go to the link provided in order to hear it in his own words. Start around minute 5:10
