More race baiting from CNN. I always shake my head when I read stories like this, because I'm a thinking man. I mean, what are they suggesting? That some racist, southern white "Boss Hog" runs countless companies and corporations, and openly discriminates against blacks and hispanics? You don't think he'd get sued? I don't buy it. We've had Affirmative Action for decades now. It's much easier for minorities to get a free ride through college; it's theirs for the taking. If a person of ANY race gets his act together, studies, applies himself, acts professional, does good work, he has a good chance of prospering. If there IS any racial divide, it has more to do with the general culture traits of the race in question (fun vs. serious, spending vs. saving, impulsive vs. self control, show-offy vs. humble) or the personal defects of the individual in question. You can't change an apple into an orange.

(P.S. I notice they don't talk about Asians. So Boss Hog the rac ist white man isn't discriminating against them yeller fellers? Give me a break!) Seriously, the fact that Asians have no "plight" proves my point about culture. Their culture promotes self-denial, hard work, responsibility, etc. and that's why they're doing fine.

This is absolutely true.  Even when you pay them a lot of money, and put them in more cerebral positions, they still struggle to act right.  This year's Super Bowl is a good example.  The quarterback is the thinking position in football and is overwhelmingly staffed by white players.  A colored guy has the break of filling that position for one of the teams in the Super Bowl this year.  Despite the money he makes as a professional athlete and the leadership role that has been entrusted to him by his team, he still acts like he is in the jungle.  He excessively celebrates like he doesn't have a lick of sense and unnecessarily agitates other teams.  I don't know why so many want to run from the fact that you simply can't change an apple into an orange.

It isn't as big of a deal in games as it is in other endeavors in life.  But it's still annoying to see no matter what sorts of opportunities you throw at them, most still won't be able to conform their behavior commensurate with the station in life that they supposedly aspire to and to which they have been given a chance.

  • That's the good ol' hypocritical media for you.  Shaming whites, and extolling blacks.  And if you dare to be a white person talking about the problems stemming from black people--or even talk about race differences at all--then you're the equivalent of Adolf Hitler.

They're still running on a shaming model that originated with the Baby Boomers.  They're going to play that record until it breaks, I suppose.  And unfortunately, since most people lack the ability to break themselves out of that line of thinking, I do believe we'll have to put up with this kind of American reverse racism for at least two more decades, if not longer.

So, let this article be a lesson for you:  Even though it's CNN Money, there'll still be a political agenda in their articles.
