For those unacquainted, this woman is not 'the mayor of Minneapolis' (Minneapolis's mayor is the philo-sodomite Jacob Frey). She is the mayor of New Brighton, a mostly insignificant suburb of Minneapolis.

Her actual statement is a joke for many reasons, but the part that stuck out as most laughable to me is when she says 'please don't put us in the awkward and unpopular position of having to enforce these laws.'
