That's undoubtedly Trumpenstein's goal.
1) ICE was not sent out there primarily to round up "illegals", but to get the public used to heaviliy-armed, masked, jack-booted thugs in the streets demanding papers and rounding you up if you can't produce your papers.
2) Trump has hinted at stripping US citizens of their citizenship for what he called "bad behavior" ... and sending us to prisons in El Salvador.
3) While the Trump-tardian morons on the Right cheer on ICE (this is all Kayfabe where the Right cheer them on and the Left hate them due to fabricated events), this clearly violates "Posse Comitatus" (which was passed specifically to prevent armed forces from taking citizens' rights), and it's just a matter of time before they're turned on others. It's like when the Right attacked Biden for "unconstituional" executive orders -- and they were -- while the Right cheered them on, then when Trump started issuing them, the Right cheered them on and the Left had "No Kings" rallies. Both stupid sides are manipulated into acting not out of principle but about what currently benefits their side ... the current thing, as it were. This is how they're letting the tyrants take over. If both sides opposed this garbage out of principle, they wouldn't be able to advance.

Don’t make liberal triggering posts on Facebook. Remember, EVERYTHING on Facebook and social media goes through the AI censors. If you wouldn’t want what you share on FB also on a huge billboard in Times Square, don’t write it. If you must write about certain topics, use various euphemisms not as likely to be singled out.
I must say this; at least ICE are still recognizable. Regular people don’t wear black hoods, bulletproof vests, combat boots, khaki field gear, and brandish 9mm and Glocks in your face. It’s when they wear regular civs that I get the willies.
We’re supposed to get used to armed military roaming the streets. They tried that in NYC after 9-11 and it pretty much worked, at first. After a year or so, people didn’t give a second glance, and they didn’t pretty much disappeared until the sea-sickness. I don’t go to the city anymore. I mostly stay home these days. There are too many unhinged people running about.

You might be surprised at the number of "self appointed / anointed' posses, militias, and gangs that run around dressed as described above thinking they are somehow in charge, especially in the rural west.
When Cliven Bundy was charged with illegally grazing his cattle on public lands multiple "militias" went to Nevada. When lawful agents moved to remove Bundy's cattle from land they shouldn't be on some of these "militias" took it upon themselves to set up roadblocks to "check" cattle trucks belonging to other ranchers who were legally transporting their own cattle. Having worked in the cattle industry my entire life (my current part time work as a funeral assistant is a post-retirement position) this was an outrageous intrusion by private thugs who had no authority.

Being from the eastern US, I guess I wasn’t so much thinking of the rural preppers who’ve formed militias. The OP says ICE is going door to door. Out in cattle country, they’d have a
llllooooooonnnnngggg distance between doors! Plenty of time to gather your own militia and be ready to greet them when they arrive. In the urban east, they have (mostly peaceful) street riots. Also, keep in mind that in cities, especially New York, questionable looking people have long been a normal fixture. If a self-appointed posse marched up Fifth Ave, a few people might glance up from their phones for a couple of seconds, and go their way. The majority wouldn’t bother with them. New Yorkers regularly ignore stranger sights than a group of grown men playing Army.
