  • Hello Mr Maryks.  I have read your essay in Pius XI & America--- Brown University Conference. I have Not yet read your Jesuits As A ѕуηαgσgυє Of Jєωs.

For the record, St Ignatius did not 'desire' to be of Jєωιѕн origin. He said that if he was it would hardly bother him as it would mean he was decended from the bloodline of our Lord on his mothers side. While it is true that Fr's Laynez ( 1/2 judaix) & Polanco were Conversos, they were certainly not marranos although it is true that Fr Polancos nephew turned out to be.

I am at bit murky on Fr Ribadeneyra but this is the first I have heard that Fr Possevino was a Converso.

I can't wait to read your other work and especially your account of the Revolt Against The Constitutions Of St Ignatius by the marranos.
