Matt Simmons Dead “Of An Apparent Heart Attack”

A former energy adviser to president George W. Bush from North Haven died Sunday.
Matthew Simmons drowned at about 10 p.m. Sunday at a home on Salt Marsh Road, according to a press release from the Knox County Sheriff’s Department. The release did provide any details and the sheriff’s office did not immєdιαtely return calls Monday morning.

Matt Simmons, founder and former head of Simmons & Co. International, died on Aug. 8 at his home in Maine of an apparent heart attack. He was reportedly in his hot tub.
