I heard from a Remnant video an excerpt from a debatw where one of the men debating Michael Matt supports Amoris laetitia by arguing that Judas was not denied Communion by Our Lord when Our Lord knew of Judas' sin. I should have hears what may have been said in response to argument, but what are some good ways to answer such an argument? From time to time, I have gathered an attitude of an exoneration of Judas Iscariot, for one day, I even debated a fallen away Catholic turned Protestant who thinks Judas Iscariot is a saint. I mean Judas still freely chose to partake of the Eucharist even though he knew he was sinning.

Which of Judas' sins did Our Lord know of that would have prevented him from receiving Our Lord at the Last Supper? Judas did not betray him or commit ѕυιcιdє till after the Last Supper so far as we know, he was just as innocent or as guilty of sin as the other Apostles at the Last Supper.
If we were all denied from receiving Communion because in the future we will commit mortal sins, no one would ever be able to receive Our Lord at all - no?

A priest can deny communion for a PUBLIC sin. Most re-marriages/bad ones are public, therefore the Amoris laetitia docuмent is flawed.
Christ knew that Judas was in sin because Judas had already made the decision to meet with the Jєωs. However, it was not PUBLIC yet, though Christ referred to the sin, in hopes that Judas would repent.

John 12:6 tells us that Judas was a thief and used to help himself to the money which was meant for th poor.

According to Amoris Laetitia the only way that anyone who is divorced and remarried without the benefit of a declaration of nullity could receive Holy Communion would be the exception and not the rule.
