  • Your illogic demands that we return to doctors examining and treating only fully clothed patients, never undressing them even for surgery. After all, seeing even an ankle definitely leads to fornication. Even clothed patients are problematic because a pretty face can be attractive, so let's demand that doctors only examine and treat from afar only patients veiled and in hijabs.

Uh oh! Never mind. Those eyes are looking pretty sexy.

Best that nobody sees anyone ever.

You see, there is a place for absolutism, but you have misplaced your hysterical rabid absolutism.
    Illogic alert!

  • It's sad that Meg's paranoia about sedevacantism is so debilitating that one might say it causes in her some cognitive impairment.  Meg gets triggered by the mere mention of "sede".
I never met a sedevacantist "pothead" though I've met a few ("pot heads") in my lifetime.
Help of Christians, guard our land from assault or inward stain,
Let it be what God has planned, His new Eden where You reign.

  • So, when DL thought I was out of line and chastised me even to the point of using the word "asshole," that doesn't count because your rules (as the new owner of CathInfo) require that fraternal corrections be "on the same page"?

He's implying that the poster has put himself in charge of CathInfo (i.e. assumed ownership or control).

To put a fine point on it, I was insulting him for his presumptuous diktats.

      • …maybe you can find a peer reviewed study…

    Dyslexia much?

Posted in this thread a few times since December last year:

…No. I cannot point to "a" single study, but to dozens, even hundreds of studies. Glad you asked. :jester:

My focus in reading these was on the medical aspects of MJ, but the larger review studies also address public policy and recreational MJ.

      • Right Mark 79. I resent your attempt to associate me with this garbage. You are malicious.  But maybe you can find a peer reviewed study, or your buddies can find somewhere in their theology manuals something to justify this rotten garbage, you know, just for recreation. Now Nadir, you applaud the next verbal assault by Mark 79, the key board bully, and Charity you say something nice about Mark 79 and DL, the key board cop, you threaten me with hell. Oh, and don't forget to give the thumbs down.  The DeFacto government of CathInfo.

I'm sowwy… [sniff, wipes tear from eye].

It's laughable enough when hysterical shrewish women tally and whine about downthumbs, but it is downright embarrassing to see a man whining about downthumbs and "soft" criticism. To use the Novus Ordo euphemism, it seems a bit "intrinsically disordered" for an [alleged] man to be so deeply invested in the popularity contest aspects of CI, "same page" diktats included.

I have real life friends who are also on CI, men I would trust with my life. So what?

While we have never met, I consider DigitalLogos and several others to be friends. So what?

There are some here whom I have never met that I would avoid as I would a rabid dog. So what?

You might consider not acting like a de facto fag. :jester:

  • It's not inherently evil, any more than arsensic or digitalis are inherently evil. Both are natural substances, and poisonous. But they can be used for good, in the right situation. But who can doubt that arsenic, a natural substance, has been used for ill-purposes? Just because something is natural, it doesn't mean it's always good.

Pot can cause serious side-effects, which will be downplayed or denied by pothead activists. Oh well.
There are fewer side effects of MJ than of alcohol.

  • Actually I quoted him. Revisit the relevant post and notice the quotation marks. DL understood the jibe and we are still friends. Friendship can withstand fraternal correction. Men can withstand fraternal correction.
My mistake.  Thank you for the correction.

How you speak to eachother in a private conversation is up to you.  To speak on a public forum this way makes you look not very Catholic.

Such language is inappropriate for ALL Catholics.  We are to be the example by which others are to follow.

  • Notice how Meg pre-emptively "downplayed" any truthful recognition of that fact.
MJ has been illegal far too long and anti-MJ  propaganda has brainwashed far too many people.

Yes. It's been about 5 years since I last saw numbers, but at that time the US had the highest per capita incarceration rate of any nation, bar none. About 70% were for non-violent malum prohibitum marijuana "crimes."

Considering all those January 6 ιnѕυrrєcтισnists who machine-gunned grannies and tossed babies from the Capitol building windows, maybe "domestic terrorists" account for a larger percentage than previously.

  • Whether something is a sin or not is not the arbiter of almost anything that we do every day. It is not a sin for a family with children to have a pet rattle snake. It is not a son to fix an appliance while it is plugged in. Just because it is not a sin for your daughters to smoke MJ recreationally does not mean that it is wise to allow it or encourage it. This thread is useless for the real world, it is only here for smokers of MJ to justify themselves, seeking teachers according to their own desire. Again, I am talking about recreational use of MJ among single young people, not medical use.
