I was in the legion of mary years ago.
Not too bad an organization I must say.
One of the legionaries named "Edel Quinn" was promoting the legion in Africa. I read a book on her. She is made out to be a hero for things like travelling long distances and not knocking on the door of a convent mission to get in after she had arrived there in the middle of the night. She chose to stay outside in the cold rather than wake the nuns up. What a hero. She used to be the boss of a company and when the workers went on strike she did not give in to their conditions.
I know quite a bit about her from reading a few books about her. Ask me if anyone wants info.
