  • It's quite funny, because I don't believe the SSPX is permitted to use Catholic venues.  That's why they had to take over a church in Paris, after all.

The futility of these liberal bishops would be amusing if it weren't such a scandal.

  • Does anyone know who Mahoney really is? I do not believe that is his real name.

    first Mahony, now +Fellay.

A lot of us didn't realize in 2009 that Bishop Williamson was never going to be allowed to play a serious role in the SSPX again.

    Novus SSPX, anyway.

  • Actually, somebody needs to ban Mahony. He and the rest of the "united States conference of catholic bishops" need to hand in there resignations. They have failed.

The good Bishop Williamson should not be subjected to hate mongering from those fools.

That sums it up pretty well right there.
"There's a mix of passion and shortsightedness in me, even when I'm positive that I'm doing my very best to see things for what they are, that warns me that I'll never know for sure. Undoubtedly I must follow the truth I can see, I have no choice and I must live on; but that is for me only, not to impose on others." - Fr. Leonardo Castellani

  • If, as the reports go, Cardinal Mahony knowingly moved predator presiders into out of state locations to prevent them from being charged in the State of California, then are there soon to be arrests and trials in the civil courts?  I am glad the Diocese of LA got hit with a $600M fine.  I think that, if the evidence is there, that charges should be brought against Cardinal Mahony under RICO laws.

Card. Mahony's replacement, Archbishop Gomez had some of the same problems at his last diocese.

Let's also not forget that Cardinal Mahony was promoted to "Cardinal" by "The Great One"...

  • I was on Traditio the other day...  ...I know they are overly rambunctious -
but I remember reading of a novus ordo presider who was arrested for trying to hire a person to kill the youngster he sɛҳuąƖly molested.

Okay, the presider is a real lowlife - I get that part.

My question is, and it applies to Mr. Roger Mahony, is are these guys in their heart of hearts atheists?

For that presider who tried to hire a killer, does he think that Our Lord would forgive him for this?  Someone who has taken Holy Orders, notwithstanding the likeliness of the novus ordo being completely invalid, who is a sɛҳuąƖ deviant and tries to hire a killer to keep his crimes silent?

For the cardinal, who mocked the pre-Paul VI Catholicism all his life and who deliberately moved predator priests to avoid detection (and allowing the predator presiders to continue molesting) - Cardinal Mahony must be an atheist.  He can't, in his heart of hearts, think that Our Lord is okay with his actions.

And let's not forget, Cardinal Mahony is the kind of Cardinal that John Paul II approved of and foisted on the Church at large.  Cardinal Mahony is a John Paul II kind of guy with FULL approval.
