interesting i read this. I talked to a protester today and he acted like he didn't want to talk to me.. allegedly had something to hurry off to.. Right. I had e-mailed a friend of his a couple weeks ago, and let said friend have it, vis a vis his rejection of Catholicism... how wrong once-saved-always-saved is... etc.. and so I know he got word of that and was just looking for an opportunity to "pay me back" by walking away from me.
Yep. Whoever said protesters are not christian was right on. They are just wannabes, at best.. I am not sure a lot of them even want to be...
as you s ay
Too much truth for the old [500 years later] children of the heresiarch to handle..
Even the best intentioned Protestants can't avoid persecuting the Christ they claim to love. It's really frustrating to see all the people who almost seem to get the right idea but because they refuse to give the Church a decent chance, they never receive the graces they already claim for themselves. This is the reason the Holy Eucharist is such a brilliant test of faith: that Our Lord is every bit as present as He was during His first appearance but far less recognizable and far more silent than He ever was in front of Herod. These history revisionists would like to pretend that the Bible doesn't properly belong to the Catholic Church alone, they'd like to imagine that the "reformers" and in particular Luther weren't utter traitors to the faith, breakers of vows, and failed Catholics. Words are nearly worthless when dealing with these folks and they pollute everything they touch. Just one of the many things we're even less equipped to deal with considering the state the Church is in right now. As deep in Hell as Luther must be, I can't imagine it would be lower than the seats reserved for all the prelates and Popes who bowed down in reverence to the Reformation and died with that on their soul.
