As if we have woken up in a science-fiction film -- namely, V for Vendetta, and I predicted that film would have uniquely evil effects -- today a headline in France reads: "The first day of the worldwide protest of the indigant ones."
In France they are calling the anti-Wall-Street protestors, who exist all over Europe too, Les Indignés ( the indignant ones ). The French do everything better. Here we don't have a cool name for them.
These people are painted as clowns, wearing Guy Fawkes masks, have lots of tattoos, and just generally look like a kind of apocalpytic mass of hippies right out of one of those end of the world films with everyone fornicating in the streets.
Why shouldn't it look apocalyptic? We are right in the end portion of the Apocalypse. If not THE end.
Now take a gander at this prophecy of St. John Vianney and tell me that there is going to be no Great Monarch:
"The Communists of Paris, after their defeat, shall spread themselves through all France, and will be greatly multiplied. They shall seize arms; they shall oppress the people of order. Lastly, a cινιℓ ωαr shall break out everywhere. These wicked people shall become masters in the North, East and Southwest of France. They will imprison very many persons, and will be guilty of more massacres. They will attempt to kill all the priests and all the religious. But this shall not last long. People will imagine that all is lost; but the good God shall save all. It will be like a sign of the last judgement...God shall come to help; the good shall triumph when the return of the king shall be announced. This shall reestablish a peace and prosperity without example. Religion shall flourish again better than ever before."
Of course, what St. John Vianney didn't see is that most of these priests will be fake priests, but I could easily see this building to the point where even the fake priests and heretics are seen as threats to leftist revolution. Talk about poetic justice; the revolutionaries within the Church could be taken for real Catholics and jailed and killed but without getting any benefit of martyrdom! ( Unless they repent and convert ).
In Germany, when Ratzinger went over there, many people were angry and thought it was an offense to secular values. The irony is not hard to spot -- he's not even a Catholic, and he was going over there to pay some kind of perverse tribute to Martin Luther, but people are revolting against him just because he looks like he's Catholic and represents law and order for them. It's like endless, pure, insane, mindless revolt. Like Marlon Brando in The Wild Ones, when asked what he's rebelling against and he says "Whaddya got?"
These mad leftists basically just want to play Che Guevara and get laid a lot, which is easy to do when they claim to be political visionaries who are going to change things.
That doesn't mean I support "Wall Street," whatever that means. Or maybe I do, in the sense that overthrowing rich people is the oldest trick in the devil's book. It never changes anything, God set it up so there would always be poor and rich. But it is only natural that people who feel their future has been stolen from them are going to revolt and go out in a burst of "glory." That is the whole reason why this country has so many social programs and so much welfare; it's not because the government is generous, it's because it was trying to keep the peons from rising up and killing them, when they realized their future had been sold down the river by unregulated corporations farming out all the jobs to India... Which is now exactly what might happen anyway.
