Didn't another user point out that is not the case. That St Cyprian was actually referring to those who say the world would end after 7000 years because there was 7 days in creation and scripture says 1 day is a 1000 years to God. Not that creation was 1000 years

Maybe.  The point is, St Cyprian was the outlier of the Fathers, most of whom thought that Genesis days were actual days.
