  • Another Jєω war hero?

How many went to war..was it 15 ?       And was he practicing judaic taludism?

The movie must be part of Gibson's public atonement for telling the truth in Malibu that night?

Better to remember all the ʝʊdɛօ-communist figures of WWII and the 65 million people of the 20th Century,
who died from the Zionist international cօռspιʀαcιҽs to destroy Christianity.

Sanctity of life will be held in derision even by those who outwardly profess it, for in those days Our Lord Jesus Christ will send them not a true Pastor but a destroyer."  St. Francis of Assisi

  • From what I've read, the "war hero" in this film is a Seventh Day Adventist.

It does appear that this film is intended to be an act of public atonement on the part of Mr. Gibson. I read an article the other day on this very topic, from a secular source.

  • Perhaps, I should borrow my friend's baseball cap which has VETERAN OF Jєωιѕн WARS in big bold letters emblazoned across the front of it if I go to the movie.

I saw the movie this weekend and formed a very different opinion about it.  :scratchchin:

The hero is not a Jєωιѕн conscientious objector (CO) but a 7th Day Adventist, named Desmond T. Doss, as previously mentioned.

He suffers greatly within his platoon, while maintaining his CO position. He talks to God and carries the 7th day Adventist bible around on the battlefield.

Miraculously, he hides on the battlefield after his platoon has retreated to allow the Navy to saturation bomb the area.  While there, as the Japanese are hiding in their bunkers, he's able to evacuate 75 wounded men... one by one.

So, this is all heroic and wonderful, but what does it mean in the eyes of God ?

Desmond never became Catholic, but remained a 7th Day Adventist to the end of his 87 years.

I detected a bit of an ecuмenical taste in some of the movies scenes, where his group waited to move out until he finished praying.  No sign of the cross, anywhere.

Note: The Okinawa island battle scenes were intense.  I wouldn't recommend the movies for children or women, in general.

If you've seen the movie and have comment, please post them.
