  • I have never understood the fascination and obession with JFK nor why people consider him on the right-end of the spectrum since if you look at his policies while President in 1961-63 it was definitely liberal, although I admit it was moderate liberalism vs. the more radical liberalism seen today. Not being Irish Catholic (I am a Catholic of German descent) and not caring for that preppy fashion JFK wore I can look truthfully at the man without having bias:

    1. Trade- While President, JFK broke his promise with steelworkers and under the "Kennedy Round" of trade negotiations passed the Trade Expansion Act of 1962 which opened up America's markets to Europe, Africa, and Asia in the name of "spreading freedom to combat Communism." This Trade Expansion Act began the de-indutrialization that you still see today in this country, destroying all manufactoring jobs. This was in keeping with the tradition of liberal economics of free trade.

    2. Foreign Policy- JFK refused to provide air and naval support to Cuban allies on the beaches which made the Bay of Pigs invasion the worst debacle of the Cold War. JFK's constant floundering and silence made Khruschev put missiles into Cuba since he saw JFK as a weak President. JFK agreed to a Saigon coup which overthrew Diem which made Vietnam America's war. He also agreed to Averell Harriman's treaty which left Laos alone and let North Vietnam get their troops and supplies down the Ho Chi Minh Trail, making Vietnam an unwinnable war. JFK and LBJ would put 535,000 American troops into a war that their Administrations could neither end nor win. JFK and RFK would also tell the CIA to assasinate Fidel Castro which ultimately lead to the death of JFK.

    3. Moral Behavior- I think this speaks for itself but it is not a big secret that JFK had numerous mistresses like Marilyn Monroe and the interns at Miss Porter's School. It also needs to be said that the Mafia rigged votes for JFK in major cities which caused the defeat of Nixon and the victory of JFK.

    4. Economics- JFK's tax cut bill would be buried on the Hill though his tax cuts would launch a boom economy in the early 60's. JFK talked of detente in the Cold War though he would try to create 1,000 land-based missiles and B-52s.

    5. Civil Rights- Although JFK would keep his Adminstration away from the March on Washington and would wiretap Martin Luther King for Communist affiliations JFK would try to influence civil rights towards blacks in numerous states.

  • Before he was elected president, he told the world that he believed in the separation of church and state.  So, he was no right-wing, or catholic for that statement.

  • JFK got elected by the cemetery vote in Cook County, Chicago, Ill.
The crooked Democrats did not purged the decease from the voting
roles and used their names to elect JFK.
Richard Nixon and the Republicans did know about this and
decided not to challenged the election results in Chicago
because it would divided and wounded the country.
It would made no difference if Nixon was elected. He was as liberal
as JFK. It would have changed nothing. Both parties were
controlled by the eastern political establishment that has been
very liberal since 1933 and the election of FDR.

. JFK was not a liberal. Being a liberal didn't get him head shot. He opposed Vietnam. We went from 16,000 advisors under him to 375,000 troops in 1.5 yrs post his death after the Gulf of Tonkin false flag. Jfk also introduced interest free currency in his $2 bill backed by silver.  That and his opposition to Israel getting nukes got him killed. 3 months after his death Israel got nukes and the world hasn't been the same since. His letters refuting Israeli pm david Ben Gurion evidence this. He really was one of the few real Presidents we ever had, along with Andrew Jackson, Grant, john Adams and Jefferson .

The difference of liberalism of 1960 and the liberalism of today. Is
that liberalism after 1960 to today is a product of Jewish Intellectualism.
And, nothing has to do with our Founding Fathers. Our Country has
been hijacked and taken over by 2% of the population.
JFK resisted some aspects of increasing dominating jewish intellectualism
that is one of the reasons that you not see in the Warren Report.
Earl Warren, former Chief Justice of the US Supreme Court was a
    33rd degree freemason.

MO is that JFK didn't agree to a 'Saigon Coup' but his proclamation of 'Vietnamisation' was none the less its cause. Ho jumps for joy when the last Catholic nation on Earth is deserted by a Catholic American President.

W/o 'Vietnamisation', there may never have been a war.

JFK was probably double- crossed at Bay of Pigs.

I very much doubt that JFK & MM were intimate and I don't believe that Kennedys murdered her.   :detective:
There Is No Such Thing As 'Sede Vacantism'...
nor is there such thing as a 'Feeneyite' or 'Feeneyism'

  • JFK had some interesting words about Hitler in his diary entry for August 1, 1945. This was published in Prelude to Leadership.

    Pg. 74:

That diary entry probably was due to his father Joe Kennedy being anti-war and also JFK being a member of America First opposed to World War II.

  • Actually, what is considered a "liberal" today would have been considered an anarchist in the 1960s.  What is considered a "conservative" today would have been considered a liberal in the 1960s.

"The whole modern world has divided itself into Conservatives and [liberals]. The business of [liberals] is to go on making mistakes. The business of Conservatives is to prevent mistakes from being corrected."  --  G.K. Chesterton

(The original quote called them "progressives", but progressives simply started calling themselves liberals when the progressive label became unpopular.)
