"I don't think they're aliens, I think they're demons," Vance said

.

I don't understand why people are so superstitious about aliens. Seriously, what's so hard about just saying people are gullible enough to believe anything, so they believe in this stuff and then they think they see it in the sky, or those people are just delusional or want attention. Isn't that a lot more likely than saying they're demons?

Isn't it a good that someone in the government is saying aliens are demons?  I guess it is just better to point out sins, to discredit people when they get it right.  Boy do we live in a messed up society.

Most people don't see the obsession with ufos for what it has become subliminally for many: a form of secular or scientific mysticism.
For many agnostics and atheists, the plausibility of alien life visiting us conveniently fills the yearning for some higher power
while also filling in the gaps that science has no persuasive explanation for, such as how did life form here.
Given the astronomical odds against life forming in some primordial soup even the scientific establishment has begun to embrace the idea of panspermia, microbial life coming here on comets or asteroids. Aliens are also a convenient substitute for God as their imagined technology would make them godlike in terms of their intelligence and abilities. Once they reveal themselves we might gain access to free, limitless energy, the cure for every disease, and universal peace under their guidance.
That is some of the thinking of the UFO cult.
Lastly, belief in such benevolent overlords frees the individual from all those pesky rules inherited from the Abrahamic religions.
The idea of sin and guilt can be jettisoned completely since those religions would be totally discredited.

Can you tell me why you felt the need to say the bold statement?  What exactly are you trying to accomplish?  I really want to know, because I really do not understand this behavior.

Shame for marrying an Indian. Indian men won't even do that. It is absurd that a white man in any position of power (outside of a trailer park) would entertain an Indian lady to the point of marriage. She is in no way fit to represent a nation, which she is already in a small way doing. Wait until Chubby becomes president.
