  • IVF is immoral for many reasons.

For one reason, they always create more "embryos" (tiny babies) than they need. They eventually have to be "discarded".

IVF is not an option for Catholics.

Yes, they have souls. A child who is a product of IVF procedure may be baptised and receive the sacraments, at least in theory, although it is unlikely that his parents would pursue a religious upbringing for him.
IVF is gravely unjust and an insult to God. But the child is innocent of wrongdoing, but still has the stain of original sin.
Those who sign up for IVF have to undertake to have the child killed in utero, (aborted) if it has any deformity or noticeable flaw.  IVF is a despicable practice.
Help of Christians, guard our land from assault or inward stain,
Let it be what God has planned, His new Eden where You reign.

it is God who allows the creation of a man.
Without His say so, no man is created.  And every man has a soul.

  • Beware of infertility doctors too.
It is all about money and yes. I had excellent insurance at the time. The doctor would get upset that we didn't want invititro or egg donor.   I think the meds I was taking or being injected with messed me up more.  The whole process was horrible and degrading.   And nothing but more sorrow.

Adoption is an option.   Get trad cat lawyer.  Our friends  were trying to adopt and it seems that ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖs and single women get special treatment over husband and wife.

May God bless you and keep you

Thanks for the information, I didn't know that.

Not that I would ever think of IVF, I didn't even know what the letters meant till this thread.

  • So does God give the IVF child a guardian angel even though it wasn't part of his plan for creation?

Also scientists are now saying a burst of light forms in the womb at the moment of conception, this doesn't happen in the scientist lab/in the dish, is this something the church should look into do you think?

LT, you can safely say that there is no IVF without abortion, and most likely several abortions for every living child.

    .
Just last week in the news was a facility contracted to keep embryos frozen had a technical malfunction.
Something went wrong with the liquid nitrogen, and thousands of stored embryos thawed and therefore died.
Infertile couples who had been keeping their last hope for a child there were devastated by the news.
It made me wonder why it doesn't get in the news how devastated anyone is after an abortion.
When's the last time you heard of an aborted fetus or "discarded embryo" being baptized?

Who said an IVF child wasn't part of God's plan for creation?
    .
This "burst of light" you're referring to happens in the EGG as it becomes fertilized, not "in the womb".
Where you say, "this doesn't happen in the scientist lab/in the dish" is incorrect.
It would normally happen in the womb, but sometimes it happens in the fallopian tubes.
But with artificial fertilization, it would happen wherever the egg happens to be when the sperm cell enters and fertilizes it.

    .
The soul of the "discarded" embryo is the soul of an innocent unbaptized person, with original sin unforgiven.
Its innocence is limited to never having reached the age of reason.
