  • Believing that every human being will, eventually, be admitted to Paradise eternal, is such a belief formally heretical?  If not, what degree of theological error would you attached to it, if any?

  • I don't see how it could be anything but heretical.

Our Lord Himself makes plenty of references to it in the gospel, and it's pretty obvious that it's not empty.

Matthew 25 v 41 "Then he shall say to them also that shall be on his left hand: Depart from me, you cursed, into everlasting fire which was prepared for the devil and his angels."

v 46 "And these shall go into everlasting punishment: but the just, into life everlasting."

    As an example.

"Be kind; do not seek the malicious satisfaction of having discovered an additional enemy to the Church... And, above all, be scrupulously truthful. To all, friends and foes alike, give that serious attention which does not misrepresent any opinion, does not distort any statement, does not mutilate any quotation. We need not fear to serve the cause of Christ less efficiently by putting on His spirit". (Vermeersch, 1913).

  • Globalism or Universalism is anti Christian, anti Christ the King.
That "Man" and the State is "God".
Many Christians whom go along with "Universalism" have watered
down Christian teachings and dogmas of the Church, and disregarded
any teachings that offends the "state".
Good examples are wide spread acceptance of artificial birth control,
abortions, and so called ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖ marriages, and so on.

  • What Mith said.

In addition, it was taught before Vatican II that there is no salvation outside the Catholic Church.

It's heretical to believe everyone goes to Heaven, yes.
Please ignore ALL of my posts. I was naive during my time posting on this forum and didn’t know any better. I retract and deeply regret any and all uncharitable or erroneous statements I ever made here.

  • Think about the philosophical underpinnings of universalism.

It makes a mockery of Our Lord's Death on the Cross.

  • I don't see how believing in universal salvation could be reconciled with Catholic teaching.
Stir up within Thy Church, we beseech Thee, O Lord, the Spirit with which blessed Josaphat, Thy Martyr and Bishop, was filled, when he laid down his life for his sheep: so that, through his intercession, we too may be moved and strengthen by the same Spir
